Land Acknowledgement:
We honor the traditional lands of the Anishaanabe and Haudensaunee Nations who lived, worked and played on this land. They were the Original People who took care of this land not only for themselves but the seven generations to come. Their lives depended on the land for everything. These First Peoples still live and walk here among us today. You cannot always recognize them by the faces in front of you but they are still walking with you every day.
We acknowledge and thank all Indigenous groups particularly those of the Williams Treaty for their commitment to protect the land and its resources. We acknowledge that they were not asked to share their territory and that we are here as guests.
