Sam Hall is a multidisciplinary artist in Sunderland, ON. Born and raised in Leicester, England, Sam has always led a creative life, whether it is baking, knitting, gardening, making, photographing, pottery or painting. The pandemic offered her the time and space to focus on experimenting with her painting specifically, which she has grown a deep love for.
Sam’s respect for animals and the natural world shines through in her paintings. All living creatures are her kindred, and they inspire her to share a colourful and playful world.
Often photographing her own subjects, Sam uses acrylics and a variety of canvas sizes to bring humour and strong visual perspectives. Her strokes are brisk and she uses texture to add movement to the details of her subjects.
